Tourism in Singapore

Tourism is a major contributor to the economy of Singapore.Tourism receipts was estimated to reach S$18.8 billion in 2010, with Shopping and Sightseeing/Entertainment accounting for 21% of total expenditure each, Accommodation making up 19%, and Food and Beverage another 10%. Medical receipts, representing the medical-tourism industry the country was trying to promoted, contributed 5%.

A glimpse on where most of the tourists are from and the major tourist attractions in Singapore. There is a need for Singapore to look at new attractions to make sure that we stay competitive in the industry.
