The Philippines is one of many countries in the world to be very prone to tectonic hazards. Located along the Ring of Fire, the Philippines is no stranger to volcanic eruptions as many volcanoes are to be found there. The eruption may also affect the country economically as the lahar destroys homes and bridges as well as lava ruining crops and water for the nation. However, during the eruption, gases and dust particles are released into the air, shading the incoming solar radiation from the sun, leaving the earth a little cooler. The impacts could be mitigated if the residents could agree to live further away from the volcanoes.
